Another session from this past summer I’m finally sharing now that the wedding is over. This makes me miss summer… Laura looked stunning in her gown and we made it through the heat to give her the classic look she was wanting. Here’s just a handful of my many favorites from the day. I love the detail work on Laura’s dress.
It’s Christmas. The children are sleeping. The husband is … somewhere. And I’m looking through the past year in amazement at the wonderful people I’ve met and spent time with. I wanted to share a few images from a session that touched me as being so sweet and spontaneous and I was honored to have captured these fleeting moments…
Treasure the time with your family and find those little moments which mean so much.
This little angle gave her Momma quite a scare tonight.
And coming in four weeks early caught everyone off guard. But Daddy remembered to call me, and I left home immediately to race to the hospital. I arrived in time to see this –
And I couldn’t help but think what a perfect picture of a perfect baby. Welcome. Merry Christmas. And Goodnight.
Those of you on my FaceBook know things have been a little rough the last few weeks. We’ve had multiple visits to the ER, personal complicated situations, work issues, holiday stress, and our dog went from having kennel cough one month to breaking out in grand mal seizures within weeks, my phone decided it was time to go and just plain stopped working, and then the can opener broke while I was trying to make dinner. And, of course, our freshly washed car was “visited” by a flock of roaming birds.
I had to laugh. Crying only makes your eyes puffy.
Needless to say I’m way behind on everything, but I’m laughing a lot. I’m laughing for my kids, to teach them when life goes wrong and karma is just taking a big fat deposit, you just have to roll with it and make the most of it. I am finding thanks in simple things, with the health issues of our family dog, I am praising God that our kids are healthy and well. With the can opener breaking and spoiling my very hard planned dinner, I am thankful we have food to eat. I am feeling amazing spiritual growth this year in the midst of all the crazy and feel blessed to be able to pass along the laughter to our children.
These were from the day before Thanksgiving. It was fabulously warm outside and the kids were enjoying some bike time. Until the city stopped by to mess with the fire hydrants and turned our street into a flowing river. Like all puddles, we encouraged them to jump and splash to their hearts content. And followed up with a soapy bath inside.
