Lexi & Matt | Fort Worth Wedding Photography

Several months ago I was contacted by a woman asking for information about wedding photography. A few emails and one follow-up phone call later and I felt like I’d bumped into a long lost friend. Lexi just has that amazing personality where you instantly feel like you must know her from somewhere because she’s so warm and friendly. A few long off topic chats and we were in business to take care of her wedding day photos. Lexi’s unique personality carried over into her wedding and made it one of the most memorable wedding’s I’ve had the honor to photograph yet.

Would you believe me if I told you she did this bouquet herself? Isn’t it fantastic?

And the guys. Being guys. Trying to figure out where their socks escaped to.

Never mind the socks. The Groom and this guy actually managed to somehow put on the wrong jackets without anyone noticing until it was picture time. Whoops. Speaking of picture time, this wasn’t exactly what I had in mind when I told them to act a little goofy but it works just the same!

Matt and Lexi opted to do a First Look before the ceremony in order to ensure they had plenty of time for some portraits of the two of them together. Since the ceremony was going to start at 7pm it would be too dark afterward to do much for long. I just love the way they look at each other.

Once again, I know I’ve said this to many of you in the past, but I really have to say that your relationship with your wedding photographer should be easy and natural. You should *get* each other. And the day of the wedding it should feel like your best friend from elementary school just showed up. Because when I have that connection with a client, great things happen on their wedding day.

They danced. A lot. I might have even joined them once or twice.

The tent was in the middle of a field under the stars. It was perfect. Just amazingly perfect start to finish.

Matt & Lexi, I’m so incredibly happy for you two. It was just an outstanding honor to be witness to the start of your new lives together with your family. I am touched by the love you two share and I’m excited to see what life has in store for you yet.

{ So Cute I Cried } Dallas Wedding Photographer

While I’ve not made an official announcement, most of my clients and many of my readers know that I am currently planning my own wedding to the most amazing man evah. Which makes it even cooler when I am working with a bride and talking about her wedding plans because I am very much taking notes on all the cool ideas people have to take a tradition which is almost as old as time and keep it classic but personal.

This video just rocked my socks off. I love the ending when the groom meets the bride and they walk together. It’s just perfect.

And if anyone in the DFW area (or anywhere in the US) is planning to do something like this I would LOVE to talk to you about your wedding.

This past summer I had the pleasure of doing Ashleigh & Wes’ wedding photography. We had such a blast on their wedding day that I left an open invitation to them to meet up again this fall for some fun fearless bridals and since we never did an engagement session, they wanted a few of the two of them together in more relaxed clothing to share with their family and friends.

This couple is so hot and I felt like I should be in the middle of a steamy body wash commercial or something. The chemistry between these two is electrifying. It was such a pleasure to take them to a new favorite location of mine and really explore how many different backgrounds we could get from just one spot.

Thanks you two for being such good sports!
