Some of you know that recently my grandfather passed away and I traveled out of state to visit just a few weeks before. The trip was an emotional one, but it was good to see him and other family members. While I was there I met up with an old friend from high school who’d just had her baby. I was thrilled to be able to spend an afternoon together talking and taking pictures of her precious little boy. I’m excited to finally be able to share them with you now.

I love babies.

I love the way they smell. I love the way they sound. I love how you can just sit and watch them breathe for hours on end and not want to look away.

I love *LOVE* love when I have a chance to spend a day taking pictures of one.

Isn’t this family GORGEOUS! I am so excited to be able to watch them continue to grow over the years to come.

And as most of you are expecting, here is the rest of the session. I can never resist a good slideshow.

I love one year olds. There is something so baby and yet so grown up about them. They’re finally walking, or very nearly walking, and their eyes are so expressive and aware. I just can’t resist them.

Little S-Man was no different. From the moment I walk into his home and allowed him to give me a tour I was in love.

I love when couples come to me wanting to do something different for their maternity session. Maternity should be personal to you as a soon-to-be mother and a couple. It’s an amazing time of transition and waiting all at once.

I love maternity sessions like these. I love when it all clicks, when the parents are up for anything and everything, when the husband is excited to do whatever I have in mind. It just becomes magic.
