A few weeks ago our family grew by one member. It was a very talked about and anticipated event, and now that she’s settled in and seems to like us, I’ve thought I might introduce her to everyone.

Meet Moki. Otherwise known as “Ow” by the kidlets.

She is around two years old, already been a mother, and doesn’t seem to be put off by the chaos of our home.

I don’t think she’s quite gotten used to the camera yet, as all her pictures she seems to be giving me this annoyed look. Kinda reminds me of the faces I get from my son when I attempt to take pictures of him while he’s busy doing something else.

She really is a great cat. Loves to snuggle, tolerates the kids, and thinks moving feet need to be attacked ferociously. I’ve started wearing shoes to bed.
It’s been nice having her around. We discuss politics together, and she agrees with everything I say. She even backs me up on the kid’s discipline and helps me make sure I’m folding the laundry correctly. She really is quite the vocal little thing.
We adopted her from the local Humane Society, where she had been dropped off as a stray, pregnant and starving. Now that all her kittens have been adopted out, she’s home with us to stay, and I think she just might like it here.![]()
