Some of you may remember earlier this year my brother went to his Junior prom with his girlfriend. I was lucky enough to be able to spend a few minutes capturing the event for them and finally put it all together in a spiffy slideshow.
I thought I would share it with you all.
I had so much fun doing this I hope to make this into a package offering for the 2010 proms. Remembering my own prom, this is such a cool memory to be able to have.
I met up with another local photographer this past week for some updated head shots for her website. We had a wonderful time together chatting about life, art, business and sneaking in a few quips about kids just for the heck of it.

Meet one of my lovely spokes models for 2010 DFW area seniors. What a gorgeous girl! Jessica has such a sweet personality and a fabulous sense of style. Made my job so easy. And the coolest thing? She’s a fellow horse lover. Oh back in the day when I used to ride hunter jumper … I miss it. Maybe someone has a horse they’d be willing to let me ride once in awhile for fun?
Back to Jessica, take a look at her sneak peek for her session. So many AMAZING images to try and select from, it was a very tough time choosing.
June 8, 2009 - 2:11 pmBrandi - Wow, she is stunning!! I can't even pick a favorite, they're all gorgeous. And I adore your use of light here - fabulous session as always Sarah!

I think senior sessions are one of my favorite session types. I love working with young people who have such amazing ideas and energy! And knowing each one is full of untapped potential and ready to take on the world, it’s inspiring.
The lovely T here is one of those fantastic individuals with amazing ideas. She suggested we do her session at the water gardens in downtown Fort Worth before we spent the second half of her session doing the Night photography around the city.
She shines as bright as the lights that twinkled around her. And that prom dress, I wish they had dresses like that back when I was going to proms! Amazing!
On Tuesday I had the amazing opportunity to photograph one really cool family. From the start with their request to include their dogs in their family picture I knew we were get along perfectly. And then when we talked about locations and ideas and I heard what they had in mind I became instantly excited. And when Dad pulled off on the side of the road so we could use the bridge and tunnels I knew I’d found a perfect match.
There are so many favorites from this session, it was hard to select just a few to post for a sneak peek, but it is supposed to only be a peek.
Thanks for such a fabulous session guys, and the restaurant suggestions were fabulous! I ended up having two margarita’s in the end.

I’ve been meaning to post this sneak for a couple days but have not had the time to sit down and do it, I still don’t have the time to do it! So I decided to give you a little preview of the sneak just to tide you over for a few days.
I was flipping through my recent issue of Real Simple (I love that magazine) and I stumbled on an article talking about the problem with sunscreen. Most of us know how important it is to feed our kids Vitamin D milk so that their bodies can actually absorb and use the calcium to make strong bones, but what we often forget is that our body also makes it’s own source of Vitamin D from exposure to sunlight. However, exposure to sunlight means harmful UVB rays so we lather on the sunscreen, and limit the amount of Vitamin D our body is able to produce. Double check the amount of reccemended Vitamin D supplements your child should be taking during the summer while he’s saturated with sunscreen from dawn until dusk. You might be surprised.
Also, another nifty little thing, http://www.uvsunsense.com/ has these awesome little wrist bands you can wear which tell you when it’s time to apply another coat of sunscreen so you can just concentrate on enjoying your day outside. With as much as my kid likes to be in the water during the day, these are an awesome way to make sure I’m not letting him get too much sun.
